This Is Where You Find Baseball
Приєднався 13 тра 2008
If you're looking for old and not-so-old baseball games and content, you've found your new home. With more than 2,400 games uploaded here to choose from, look around, pull up a chair and take in a ballgame! We aren't all about "big moments," either; we believe there's something special about some random regular season game, just a part of the rhythm and flow of the long season. We're a private collector who loves the grand old game, and taped a bunch of broadcasts for our own use, and snagged others from similarly-minded collectors. And thank you all upon us reaching the landmark of 20,000 subscribers!

"All right, you people at This Is Where You Find Baseball," we can hear you, "what's with all these partial games? Did any of you not know how to account for VHS tapes running out before the game was done?" Well, if you've ever set a TiVO or a DVR for a game and have it run out before the game was over, you know our pain. It happens. But don't let that stop you from enjoying this partial record...

During the VHS era we sometimes had to deal with a stubborn tracking issue. This recording of ESPN's Sunday Night Baseball between the Texas Rangers and the Minnesota Twins September 5, 1993, was one of those times. If the video is bothersome, we still enjoy Jon Miller and Joe Morgan on the call.

Miss Brown and Deshaies broadcasts
I hate the thought of nights in Tampa with the host Tampa Bay Giants hosting their rival Los Angeles Dodgers, celebrating former Tampa Bay Giants great Willie Mays. Ugh...hell no.
J.R. worked hard to overcome his bouts with wildness and once he could locate his pitches, became the best pitcher in baseball, which he was when hit by the stroke. Gone were the days he would be sailing along then walk three, four, five batters straight and have to be removed. He had incredible stuff and was as close as you can get to being unhittable. The Astros always seemed to have a knack for mishandling people, mishandling situations, and the way they mishandled J.R. Richard was abhorrent. So sad and tragic. Still pisses me off!
What a beautiful day. Baseball, Harry, Wrigley Field. Good enough for me. Have a good day reader.
Thank You; Again.
My exact birthday. Thank you
RIP Vin Scully, you were all class and the greatest broadcaster the game has ever seen! From a dieheard Giants fan, all love and respect! 🙏
That intro was so beautifully retro
Love that Tom Candiotti is pitching and love the analysis on Todd Helton. Crazy how the question was could he fill the big shoes at first. I’d say he was able to!
I never knew Tim McCarver did play by play, always thought he only did color/analyst
Yep from 1983-1998
The Padres' uniforms went downhill in 1985.
A lot more peaceful than had been the case during the previous August.
It's so cool to watch archived Expos games!
41:05 Griffey Homer
To go from a wild pitch as the first pitch and walk to a no hitter is insane. He certainly locked in mentally after that first pitch.
Wow, what a ballgame and what a finish....have to be very few titles decided that way over years on any level. Literally found this one by accident too, looking in archives tonight for your very oldest game posted just to make my choice a little easier amongst all the content you and other channels have and glad I did. Great stuff. Well worth spending a few late-night hours on. Some pretty big names going forward here too, David Freese in particular stood out for me.
Verlander is a tough, very fast pitcher. Future Hall of Famer.
This is a cool one. Thanks for this channel. It's best on UA-cam!⚾
This comment, right here, is why we do what we do!
Thanks for all these wonderful games. It's a baseball fans dream watching these games.
Great upload! I miss the Braves of the 90's...
This is fantastic! Thank you for uploading the precious young Pedro's game!
Lets go Oakland!
Today the place would be packed on Mothers Day.
Tssss such a subdued finish back then. Guy wins the game and runs back into the dugout like he just flew out or something. 😅😅
Oh wow i was at this game, and the only reason i remember is the grand slam
18:19 Al: it's important to have a catcher (Matheny) with a perfect technique with balls in the dirt. Mac: Have you seen any better? Al: "No. Absolutely not." Yadi was the hitter. That comment didn't age well lol
Yes! Love your 1993-2001 WGN and TBS Videos... I missed a lot of these games because of school, baseball and work! You a Baseball legend!
Glad you like them!
@@ThisIsWhereYouFindBaseball Love them All is do is watch your games on Braves off days and in the offseason. Love the 1994-96 Cubs games
Another baseball hall of famer played in this tournament. Minnesota made the field(and was eliminated by Arizona St) and was led by Paul Molitor.
We all know what you're here for lol 8:52 44:15 1:18:46 1:44:45 2:18:13
3:54 This guy sounds exactly like Pat Sajak
Pat Sajak should so be honored to be compared to the 1998 Baseball Hall of Fame broadcaster inductee.
@@ThisIsWhereYouFindBaseball I'm sure he is 😂
2:26:40 RIP John Adams
Its amazing how good a career Murph had playing on such bad teams. No help. No protection. The pitchers assume walk him.
Showtime at the Apollo made it's television debut on WNBC Following SNL
In the eight team double elimination days game 11 was very important as the winner got a berth in the championship game (or games if needed)
Braves lose 5-3 to the Dodgers are 91/2 games back at the break. And that’s when the fun began.
Yessir another Rays game as of late plz keep it rolling
love how they are playing Rocket Man as Clemens is warming up
Look, I love 90's baseball as much as anyone. But sweet Christ, does anyone miss the nonsense that went on in Frank Thomas' first AB? Endless throw overs. Step offs. Holding the ball. Nibbling. That one AB took more than 8 minutes. Brutal.
We completely agree, and why we agree that the new rules governing MLB are welcome.
Awesome
Epic find
And again we do apologize for the truncated ending.
@@ThisIsWhereYouFindBaseball 1997 Pedro is good no matter what.
Is it wrong for me to say that the Mariners and MLB lost a Future superstar in Greg Halman? If only his brother Jason wasn't so bitter about his brother's success that he murdererd him...
If you're reading this and you wonder to what @joeyparkhill8751 is referring, strap yourself in and read this: www.espn.com/espn/otl/story/_/id/8286055/seattle-mariners-gregory-halman-days-leading-death-hands-brother-jason
@@ThisIsWhereYouFindBaseball Yeah it's heartbreaking, especially when you discover that Mike Carp carried Greg's Uniform with him to every city, even when Carpy was with the 2013 World Champion Red Sox. :( It hurts me too because I saw Greg play in the Northwest League in 2007. I even got an autograph from him.
Was this the year Harry had his stroke?
Indeed it was.
Some of the guys playing in this game, I haven't thought about in *years*. Great stuff!
Deadspin -- back when it was great -- had a feature entitled "Let's Remember Some Guys." We'd like to think our whole channel keeps that lamented feature still going.
The pitch before Wade bog swung a mess and the game and the no hitter that pitch was strike three on the outside corner.
I miss our fans being savages like this.
Joe G mentions Cardinals' fans taking the train up to St Louis in his days. What a concept! How much fun would that have been!! Progress is nothing but a myth.
1:02:23 man if only they knew then what those kids would turn out to be…
Man that A’s team had some serious power
GOOOO, RICKEYYYYYYYYYYYYY! GET THOSE ALL-TIME LEADING WALKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Getting rid of tiger stadium was a crime.
